A participative sculptural installation I created in Ulsteinvik, Norway as part of the Nordic Summer University. It is made from 7-10ft strands of glass beads stretched between the floor and ceiling across an entire room. This is a different version of the piece I made for Westwerk gallery in Hamburg; this time I used colourless beads rather than red as I wanted to make the piece to be more subtle.
Viewers were allowed to walk around the room. Initially carefully and only accidentally breaking threads scattering the beads across the floor. Eventually intentional destruction set in and the piece was decimated in less than one hour of opening.
